Everyone is talking about AI as if it can only mean one thing: ordinary workers getting crushed.
The "workers get richer" fantasy assumes African states can tax AI rents and redistribute them. Most can't even collect VAT properly. Governance capacity comes first, or this is just another scramble with nicer branding.
