Almost every day I hear news of my people dying at sea trying to get to Europe to get jobs.
My commitment is to promote economic freedom and better business environments in Africa so that entrepreneurs can create more jobs more quickly for the millions of African youth hungry for opportunity.
One of the ways I do so is through my role as the Director of the Center for African Prosperity for the Atlas Network, the leading global network of free market think tanks around the world.
Recently, The New Republic published "Meet the Shadowy Global Network Vilifying Climate Protestors," a hit piece on the Atlas Network. In addition to various inaccuracies, at the end of the day they are concerned about the privileged kids who want the right to throw soup at famous paintings—while African young people are dying by the boatloads at sea.
To her credit, co-author Amy Westerveldt agreed to speak with me. To my surprise, she agreed with many of my points.
I'll let you see what you think of The New Republic after viewing this.
I do get very angry too at the discrepancies and the hypocrisy of the people in this world. How they attempt to shut you down, cancel you if you stood for what's morally right and correct. Why can't we express ourselves and stand up for what we believe without being hated by some groups of people who hate justice and progress for us Africans or anyone without a stupidly bias mindset?
Well, thank God people like Anthony Oliver and the likes are being supoted by God Who's above all. Simply put - the good will overshadow the evil no matter how they try. Ebipade Gbedi
